Dear Michelle,
I am sorry I missed Brand Camp! I looked over your Tweet Wisely - Brand Camp 2010 slide show and think I have committed a tweet faux pax. I believe that I have over promoted myself while trying to 'sell' an event at Junior Achievement for JAGirl$! I want to provide authenticity to the program. Are you saying that for every one tweet of self promotion their should be seven messages of value? Can you give me an example of a message of value?
Also, will you be replicating this camp anytime soon? Where was it advertised?
Thank you in advance for your answers. Looking forward! I do so enjoy your tweeting!

my Vote: "Incremental Marketing on a Microbudget”
If I'm gonna spend an hour in a session I want to have a fairly good idea what it's about. I don't want to decide based on something that may sound catchy but is a risky use of my availabe time allotment.

Michelle, I find split testing one of the most exciting things to do in the world of marketing. Imagine finding out that you get just as many sales at $189 as you do at $89! Imagine finding that the creative package you thought would pull like gangbusters was beat out by an alternative 2-to-1! It so exciting because you make more money that way. As for Boring and Clear beating Clever... my research indicates that's usually the way it is. (Although I don't think clear is necessarily boring, if you make sure the clear part is BENEFITS. Do you agree? I even have a marketing rule I call the TUF rule... Test Ugly First. Thanks for your post.

I would pick a) Incremental Marketing on a Micro Budget. But, why not both? Can you be clever and clear? I dunno, maybe, macro results on a micro budget? Either way, do you forget that it is your expertise that is the selling point? Not the title, but the presenter! :)

It is amazing Michelle, that any business owner cannot see the obvious benefit here. After all, would you want to be left out of the Yellow Pages?

Ecen if they have to pay someone to do it for them, it is priceless - especially now, in its relative infancy when it will be easier to get in the 10 pack.
