About Michelle Chance-Sangthong Web Strategy Maven
When a transportation business with annual sales of $200 million lost its webmaster, management asked Michelle Chance-Sangthong to fill the slot. Although Michelle had absolutely no Internet experience beyond her AOL e-mail account, she turned out to be a chance worth taking. Michelle learned fast, during her employment developed and managed more than 17 different websites, applying web marketing, search engine optimization and pay per click strategies.
Before leaving the corporate world her web marketing savvy generated more than $2 million in leads in a single year.
As a part time venture, in 2001 Michelle and her partner started CS ideas, a web-based gift company. Serving as the company’s search engine specialist and product manager, Michelle again demonstrated her exceptional aptitude for web marketing. In only seven years, the company’s websites generated more than $4 million in retail product sales.
“The organic search listings of our four websites produce about 98 percent of our company’s revenues” explains Michelle. “The key to web marketing success is to give the right commands to the search engine spiders. And when I say commands, I don’t mean whispers. I make those spiders hear me loud and clear. This is not a subtle business. “
In recent years, Michelle’s reputation as an expert in search engine optimization strategies and web marketing analysis has grown tremendously. She is much in demand as a public speaker and as a professional web strategy consultant. So much so, in fact, that early in 2008 she opened her own web marketing consulting business, Red Hawk Strategies.
“Web marketing is my passion,” exclaims Michelle, “and Red Hawk Strategies represents the culmination of a lifetime of interests and skills. There’s nothing more exciting to me than helping businesses grow and be more successful.
